Fees for the 2010 program:

*Paris, May 31st – June 30th:       $3225 - $3475 for undergraduate students

                                                              $3345 - $3595 for graduate students

(Includes up to four course credits and all of the program inclusions listed below.)

 

*London, June 30th – July 6th:     $1120 - $1350 for both undergraduates and graduate students

(Includes up to three course credits and all of the program inclusions listed below.)

 

*For students participating in the London excursion only:  $1250 - $1500

     

*The final cost will depend upon enrollment and the currency exchange rate at the time of the final installment due date.   Every effort will be made to keep the final program fee as close as possible to the lower figure in these ranges.

 

Included Program Features

·         Pre-departure Orientations and Student Program Guides including travel preparations, overview of the culture, language, history, and food of Paris, and much more.

·         Double occupancy lodging    (Premium housing options, including single occupancy with private bath and shower, are available for a surcharge of approximately $500.00.   Contact the program coordinator for details.)

·         All ground transportation including chartered bus to and from the airport, unlimited use of metro and bus systems within Paris, group day trips to sites outside of Paris including Chartres, Giverny, Auvers-sur-Oise, Vaux-le-Vicomte, Chantilly and up to three individual excursions to the suburbs

·         All admissions to art museums (both group and individual visits)

·         All admissions to cultural sites during group excursions

·         Group picnic and one group restaurant dinner

·         One performance event (ballet at Opera de Paris or equivalent)

·         Maps and guides

·         Academic instruction and program oversight by USF faculty and the program director

·         Cost includes up to 4 credits in Paris and up to 3 credits in London.   (Students can earn up to 7 credits by doing both Paris and London.)

·         USF-provided health, accident and emergency insurance coverage **

·         USF Education Abroad support and administration

The London excursion includes: travel from Paris to London by Eurostar train, 5 nights lodging at a centrally-located university dormitory (single occupancy) with full breakfast, bus transfers from train station to residence and from residence to airport for departure, admission for all group visits to museums and cultural sites and guidance of USF faculty.

 

Variable Program Costs (not included in the program fee)

·         Round-trip airfare

·         Individual instructional materials & books (approximately $100.00)

·         Meals and personal expenses (suggested budget of approximately $200.00 per week)

·         International Student Identity Card (required: $25.00)

 

 

 

** USF provides students and faculty study abroad program participants with insurance coverage for sickness, accident, hospitalization and emergency medical evacuation.   This coverage is extended to program participants for the dates of the program.  Those who plan to travel independently, in advance of or after the program, must arrange their own insurance coverage.  One of the least expensive options is to purchase an International Student Identity Card.  The card offers minimal insurance coverage and costs $25.  It can be purchased on-line at: myisic.com

 

 

Payment Schedule

Program fee payable to USF cashier's office:

·         $850.00 due by January 22, 2010 to secure space in the program

·         50% of the remaining balance due no later than March 5, 2010.

·         final balance due no later than April 9, 2010.

 

Cancellation policy

The deposit is completely non-refundable. You are strongly encouraged to purchase trip cancellation insurance if there is a possibility that you may have to cancel out of the program between the payment of the deposit and the departure date.

 

·         75% of the remaining payments are refundable if cancellation is made no later than March 30th, 2010.

·         25% of the remaining payments are refundable if cancellation is made no later than April 30th, 2010. 

·         No refund of the program fee will be made after April 30th, 2010.
