Program Costs for 2009:

·         Paris program fee will be posted here by September, 2008.   Please check back.

·         fee for optional Venice, June 30th – July 6th:  $900.00

·         Study Abroad Administrative Fee: will be posted here by September, 2009.

·         USF Tuition

            $90.00/ per undergraduate credit; $185.00/ per graduate credit (not included in program fee)

 

Variable Program Costs (not included in the program fee)

·         Round-trip airfare

·         Individual instructional materials & books (approximately $100.00)

·         Meals and personal expenses (suggested budget of approximately $200.00 per week)

 

Included Program Features

·         Lodging – double occupancy

(Premium housing options, including single occupancy with private bath and shower, are available for a surcharge of $400.00 - $800.00.   Contact the program coordinator for details.) 

·         All ground transportation including chartered bus to and from the airport, unlimited use of metro and bus systems within Paris, group day trips to sites outside of Paris including Chartres, Giverny, Auvers-sur-Oise, Chantilly and up to three individual excursions to the suburbs

·         All admissions to art museums (both group and individual visits)

·         All admissions to cultural sites during group excursions

·         Group picnic and one group restaurant dinner 

·         Maps and guides

·         Guidance of on-site USF faculty and assistants

·         Emergency Medical Insurance ***

·           The Venice excursion includes:  travel from Paris to Venice by overnight train with couchette (sleeper car), 5 nights lodging (single occupancy) at a centrally located 3-star hotel, full breakfast, transfers by boat from Venice train station to hotel and from hotel to airport, admission to the Venice Biennale and museums and cultural sites visited as a group, and guidance of USF faculty.   Students will return to the U.S. directly from Venice.

** Note: Students remaining after the program can arrange a later return flight, usually at no additional cost.  Non- Tampa students can book their own flight and pay an appropriately reduced program fee.

 

*** USF provides students and faculty study abroad program participants with insurance coverage for sickness, accident, hospitalization and emergency medical evacuation.

This coverage is extended to program participants for the dates of the program.  Those who plan to travel independently, in advance of or after the program, must arrange their own insurance coverage.  One of the least expensive options is to purchase an International Student Identity Card.  The card offers minimal insurance coverage and costs $23.  It is available through STA Travel on the USF Tampa campus, tel: (813) 974-3380.

 

 

Optional Program Feature

·         French language course (Intermediate to Advanced levels only, 3 credits).   Course fee is $90/credit x 3 credits.

 

Payment Schedule

·         Payable to CVPA Box Office (Theatre 2 Bldg.):

-          $1,700.00 deposit (non-refundable) due by January 18, 2008 to secure space in the program.**

-          $800.00 second payment (& $400.00 supplement for those participating in the London excursion) due no later than March 7, 2008.

-          $800.00 final payment (& $400.00 supplement for those participating in the London excursion) due no later than April 11, 2008.

**Note:  The deposit is completely non-refundable.   You are strongly encouraged to purchase trip cancellation insurance if there is a possibility that you may have to cancel out of the program between the payment of the deposit and the departure date.

 

·         Payable to USF Cashier’s Office:

-          USF tuition due May 15, 2008

-          Study Abroad Administrative Fee due May 15, 2008
